Enticing and well-timed coupons help increase transactions and sales. Coupons are redeemed by users through the app and applied to their order as a discount.
To create a coupon, click "Engagement," then "Coupons."
Click "Create Coupon." Click the toggle to make the new coupon active or inactive. You can always change this after you've created your coupon.
Provide your coupon with a name and code, both of which are required. The coupon code will be the code that the users will enter into the app for redemption.
Include a coupon description for internal information the coupon. This is also required.
Under reward options, select the type of reward you want the coupon to offer, either: fixed dollar credit or fixed loyalty credit, which are loyalty program points. Include the reward amount.
You can choose whether you want your coupon to have an unlimited redemption amount or if you want to have a maximum amount of redemptions. Click the toggle and include the number of times the coupon can be redeemed.
NOTE: Coupons can can only be used once per customer. The limit is the number of coupons you're allowing to be added to the platform to be redeemed. For example, if you were to add 100 coupons, only 100 coupons would be able to be redeemed before a user receives an "invalid coupon" error.
You can also select whether you want this coupon to be available at all or some of your locations. If you click the toggle, you can select the location(s) where you'd like users to be able to redeem the coupon.
If the coupon has no expiry, you can leave the time as "unlimited." Or, you can click the toggle and select the date you'd like the coupon to be available.
Choose the recipients that will be able to redeem the coupon. The coupon could be available to all users. Or, click the toggle to target specific users. In the "Select Segments" field, type the name of the segment you want to have access to the coupon. If you don't want to select this segment, click the "x" next to the segment's name. You can also type in specific emails to add to the coupon code recipient list.
Once you select the segments, all users in that segment will appear in customer search. Click "add all" to add them as recipients of the coupon. The users that have access to the coupon will be listed in the "recipient" section. If you don't want to select these users, click "remove all." If you're happy with your coupon and are ready to make it available on the app, click "Save." Your coupon will now be listed with your other available and archived coupons.
