How will I be notified of a new order?

The process for New Order alerts if you are integrated with Doordash Drive or doing your own delivery varies slightly. Here's how.

1. Own Delivery

A bright yellow New Order alert will appear prompting you to view new incoming orders.

From the home screen or the side menu, tap New Orders.

On this screen,  incoming customer orders can be processed that are placed through your app or web ordering (if applicable).

Orders that customers have placed to be picked up as soon as possible will filter to New Orders.

You can tap on an order to see customer and order details, such as order number, products and items ordered, price, special instructions, whether it’s for pick up or delivery (if applicable), and more.

Orders in Progress

You can tap on an order to see customer and order details, such as order number, products and items ordered, price, special instructions, whether it’s for pick up or delivery, and more.

When you’re finished preparing the order, tap Ready For Pickup to notify the customer that their order is ready for pick up or that it’s out for delivery (if applicable).

To reprint the receipt, tap the three vertical dots next to the order number (if printer is enabled).

2. Doordash Drive Delivery

The same bright yellow New Order alert will appear , however, this alert will ring for about three seconds.

New orders are automatically accepted* and will stay in the New Orders section for five seconds before filtering to Orders In Progress.

You can tap on an order to see customer and order details, such as order number, products and items ordered, price, special instructions, whether it’s for pick up or delivery, and more.

When you’re finished preparing the order, tap Ready For Pickup to notify the customer that their order is ready for pick up or that it’s out for delivery.

To reprint the receipt, tap the three vertical dots next to the order number.

 


*Note: If you wish to enable manual accept / reject / delay for all orders and you are integrated with Doordash Drive, please submit a request to support@smooth.tech. Please note that rejecting and delaying delivering orders notifies the end-user's order status card and does not notify the Doordash Dasher. You will need to contact Doordash Support to notify them of any order cancellations and delays to ensure the driver is not showing up ahead of time or at all.
