How do I Send a Mobile Message?

Mobile messages lets you communicate with your app users through a push notification. Common examples include promoting a campaign, notifying users about a new location, or to send a special message on a holiday.

In the sidebar, click "Engagement" then "Mobile Messages."

Click "Create Mobile Message." The mobile message sends to users as a push notification.

Name your mobile message. This name is strictly for internal purposes.

Select the user segment that you'd like to send the mobile message. You can also select multiple segments.

Enter the message your users will see.

Select the action the push notification will prompt. Choose an action from five options which will occur when a user clicks on the notification: Show a link, show a product, show an offer, show a combo or open app.

If you want to send the message right away, keep the toggle set to "Send Now." If you'd like to schedule the message to be automatically sent at a later date and time, toggle off "Send Now" and use the calendar tool that appears on the right-hand side to set the specific date and time you had in mind.

Once you schedule your mobile message, you can test it by clicking "Test." The menu that opens prompts you to enter the user that you'd like to send the test mobile message. Anyone who has a registered account on the app will appear here. If you're looking to add someone specific, ask them to register for an account on the app.

Once you've scheduled and tested the mobile message and are happy with the result, click "Save."
If you've opted to schedule the push notification for a later date and time, the message will be archived and sent out then.

If you opted to send the push notification right away, then the message will be sent immediately upon clicking "Save."
