Here's how you can easily reject orders directly from the Smooth Tablet app.
If your brand is doing their own deliveries, you will have the ability to reject orders if they happen to be too busy with in-store orders or items in the order happen to go out of stock.
To reject, tap on the Reject Order button. A prompt with a list of predetermined responses will display.
You can also choose to insert a custom message if the rejection responses don’t suit your brand's needs (if applicable). Sending a rejection response or a custom message to the customer is optional, and you can only select one or the other.
Tap Send & Reject Order.
The customer will be immediately refunded and notified through their app.
Rejecting orders x Doordash Drive
Brands who are on Doordash Drive do not have access to rejecting pickup or delivery orders since they are on auto-accept*.
If a user places a Future Order, then this would be the only applicable scenario in which the client would be able to access the reject function.
*Note: If you wish to enable manual accept / reject / delay for all orders and you are integrated with Doordash Drive, please submit a request to support@smooth.tech. Please note that rejecting and delaying delivering orders notifies the end-user's order status card and does not notify the Doordash Dasher. You will need to contact Doordash Support to notify them of any order cancellations and delays to ensure the driver is not showing up ahead of time or at all.
