# One-Time Use Free Product Offer
## Offering a free product is a very big incentive for customers to register and place an order at your restaurant. Most customers will purchase additional products with their free item, increasing your new users, transactions and sales volumes.
**Example**
**Title:** Get a FREE BURGER when you create an account on the app or web platform!
**Description:** To redeem your free burger, add it to your cart from the menu. Offer automatically applied at checkout. \*\*Limit to one redemption per customer\*\*
**Portal Setup:** There are two ways to set up a one-time free product offer.
**DISCOUNT OFFER TYPE**
- Engagement \> Offers \> Create Offer \> Offer Type: DISCOUNT or FREE ITEM
- Include the Offer Information, Location Availability and Offer Source(s)
- Pre-Required Products: none
- Eligible Products: Select burgers from the product list, select applicable sizes from the variant list.
- All required products do *not* need to be in cart for this offer so we would answer “no” to this question
- Under FREE ITEM OPTIONS, select “Percent” from the dropdown and input 100 in the “Discount Amount” field. For FREE ITEM offer type, enter in the price of the product in max discount & enter a value of 0 in points cost.
- Select “Auto-Redeem”, unselect “Reusable” and “Apply Multiple”
- Review the offer and click “Save”
**FREE ITEM OFFER TYPE**
- Engagement \> Offers \> Create Offer \> Offer Type: FREE ITEM
- Include the Offer Information, Location Availability and Offer Source(s)
- Pre-Required Products: none
- Eligible Products: Select burgers from the product list, select applicable sizes from the variant list.
- All required products do *not* need to be in cart for this offer so we would answer “no” to this question
- Under FREE ITEM OPTIONS**,** enter the price of the product in "Max Discount" & enter a value of 0 in "Points Cost"
- Select “Auto-Redeem”, unselect “Reusable” and “Apply Multiple”
- Review the offer and click “Save”
